Key Responsibilities

The Project Assistant will support verification and distribution activities to ensure effective delivery of assistance to targeted beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mobilizing beneficiaries for cash-based transfer enrollment and food distribution activities.
  • Verifying beneficiary eligibility during distributions and quarterly verification exercises.
  • Supporting data collection, data entry, and preparation of monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Assisting in accountability to affected persons (AAP) activities.
  • Monitoring cash-out points and supporting coordination with IT teams during distributions.
  • Supporting engagement and organization of retailer groups.
  • Assisting in the formation and strengthening of community financial groups such as VSLAs or SACCOs.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Agriculture, Nutrition, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in community-based programming, data management, or humanitarian assistance.
  • Experience in beneficiary verification, reporting, and monitoring activities.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian principles, accountability, and protection standards.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and community engagement skills.
