About the Role
Reporting directly to the Country Director, the Programme & Impact Coordinator ensures that ACTED’s green economy and climate-related projects are designed, implemented, and monitored effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Programme Quality & Oversight
- Lead planning, implementation monitoring, and internal reporting.
- Ensure programme activities align with ACTED’s 3ZERO approach.
- Supervise field teams and maintain high operational standards.
2. Multi-Country Programme Coordination
- Oversee cross-border projects and ensure Kenya’s work aligns with regional strategies.
- Coordinate with multiple ACTED country teams to maintain consistency and learning.
3. Strategic Development & External Relations
- Support business development, proposal writing, and donor engagement.
- Strengthen relationships with government bodies, local partners, civil society, and private-sector actors in the green economy space.
- Position ACTED as a leading actor in climate adaptation and sustainable economic development.
This role is ideal for someone who can combine technical expertise in green economy or climate science with strong project-management and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
ACTED is looking for candidates who bring:
- A Master’s degree in fields such as climate science, environmental studies, development studies, economics, or public policy.
- At least 4 years of experience in project or programme management, preferably in development, climate adaptation, or economic resilience.
- Demonstrated technical experience in green economy, climate-smart livelihoods, circular economy, or related areas.
- Strong research and data-analysis abilities, with experience designing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative studies.
- Experience supporting or leading enterprise development, business incubation, or green entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Understanding of climate policies, green-growth regulations, and how they translate into practical field action.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in multicultural environments.
- Fluency in English and French.

Contract & Benefits
ACTED provides competitive conditions, including:
- A monthly gross salary ranging from approximately €2,800 to €3,000, depending on experience and security context.
- A monthly living allowance.
